Terms of Service

Please note that our Terms of Service have been updated as of May 15, 2026.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the online platform operated by Educaid Pte. Ltd. (“Educaid”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or using any services offered through the Platform, you (“User”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to all Users, including Instructors and Students.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

 

  1. Definitions
  • “Platform” means Educaid’s online platform through which educational services are published and offered to Students.
  • “Instructor” means an individual or a group of individuals under an agency offering training, tutoring or other forms of educational teaching services through the Platform.
  • “Student” means any individual or parent/guardian seeking or receiving educational training services through the Platform.
  • “Services” means the educational, training, tutoring or instructional services provided by the Instructor to Students through the Platform.
  • “User Content” means any content submitted, uploaded, or provided by Users on or through the Platform.

 

  1. Nature of the Platform

2.1 The Platform is a online platform that facilitates Instructors to offer their Services to Students.

2.2 Educaid does not employ Instructors directly, does not verify educational content, does not supervise teaching sessions, and does not guarantee any learning outcomes.

 

  1. Eligibility

3.1 Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3.2 Users under 18 may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.3 Instructors must meet Educaid’s vetting requirements and comply with all applicable laws.

 

  1. User Accounts

4.1 Users must provide accurate information when creating an account to facilitate subsequent communication with Users.

4.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

4.3 Users must notify Educaid immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.

 

  1. Instructor Obligations

Instructors agree to:

  • comply with the Instructor Services Agreement and Instructor Code of Conduct;
  • provide accurate information about qualifications and experience;
  • conduct themselves professionally and ethically;
  • refrain from soliciting Students for direct payment outside the Platform;
  • comply with all applicable Singapore laws, including the Employment Act, Income Tax Act, and PDPA.

Educaid may suspend or deactivate an Instructor’s account for breach of these obligations.

 

  1. Student Obligations

Students agree to:

  • provide accurate information when booking sessions;
  • carefully select the course that suits User’s requirement and level of study before enroling;
  • comply with payment requirements;
  • treat Instructors respectfully and professionally;
  • refrain from requesting academic dishonesty (e.g., asking Instructors to complete assignments or exams).

Educaid may suspend or deactivate a Student’s account for misconduct. No refund shall be made if a Student is suspended from the Platform due to misconduct or dishonesty.

 

  1. Booking, Payments, and Platform Fees

7.1 All payments for Instructor Services must be made exclusively through the Platform.

7.2 Educaid charges Platform Fee to Instructors, which is deducted from payments made to Instructors.

7.3 Educaid may withhold or reverse payments in cases of fraud, misconduct, or policy violations.

 

  1. Cancellations and Refunds

8.1 Educaid may issue refunds at its sole discretion in cases involving no-show from Instructor, unexpected departure of Instructor, Instructor fraud, safety concerns, business ceasation, or platform errors.

8.2 In the event of no-show from Student at scheduled lesson timing or premature leaving the lesson by choice, it shall be considered as lesson consumed and no refund or credit shall be awarded.

8.3 In the event Student decides to cancel from an enroled course, there shall be no refund. However, the unused portion of the course fee can be converted as credit to be used for another courses enrolment. Educaid charges a S$20.00 fee per course per Student for cancellation.

 

  1. User Conduct

Users must not:

  • engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour;
  • upload or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
  • use the Platform for political, religious, or racially sensitive activities;
  • attempt to bypass the Platform’s payment system;
  • share an account with multiple persons, or arrange for mutiple persons to attend the Services;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent identity.

Educaid reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts for violations.

 

  1. Academic Integrity

Users must not use the Platform to engage in academic dishonesty, including:

  • completing assignments, tests, or exams on behalf of others;
  • violating academic integrity policies of educational institutions.

Instructors must decline such requests and report them to Educaid.

 

  1. Confidentiality and Data Protection

11.1 Instructors and Students must keep all personal information obtained through the Platform confidential.

11.2 Users must comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

11.3 Educaid’s collection, use, and disclosure of personal data is governed by its Privacy Policy.

 

  1. User Content

12.1 Users retain ownership of User Content submitted to the Platform.

12.2 By submitting User Content, Users grant Educaid a worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute such content for Platform‑related marketing purposes.

12.3 Users represent that they have the rights necessary to submit such content, including the use of licensed or copyrighted materials.

12.4 Users shall not (and shall not permit any third party to take any action, post, submit, link, upload, download, distribute or facilitate distribution of any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright; or that is unlawful, invasive of another’s privacy, tortious, obscene, offensive, or profane; or impersonates another person or entity including AI-generated fake images.

12.5 Educaid shall not be held responsible for illegal or unauthorized use of contents.

12.6 Educaid reserves the right to remove any content from the Website or another feature of the Website at any time, for any reasons or no reason at all.

 

  1. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Platform, including software, trademarks, and content created by Educaid, remain the property of Educaid or their licensors. Users will not copy, modify, publish, reverse engineer or distribute Platform content without permission.

 

  1. Safety and Background Checks

14.1 Educaid does not conduct background checks on Students or Instructors unless explicitly stated.

14.2 Users are responsible for exercising their own judgment when interacting with others.

14.3 Educaid may conduct checks where required by law or for safety reasons.

 

  1. Suspension and Termination

Educaid may suspend or terminate a User’s account for:

  • breach of these Terms;
  • safety concerns;
  • fraudulent or unlawful conduct;
  • repeated complaints;
  • inactivity;
  • or for convenience with reasonable notice.

 

  1. Disclaimers

16.1 Educaid provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

16.2 Educaid does not guarantee:

  • the accuracy of Instructor information;
  • the quality of Services;
  • any learning outcomes;
  • uninterrupted access to the Platform.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

17.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Educaid and its employees, sub-contractors or agents are not liable for:

  • any loss, injury, or damage arising from Services;
  • any disputes between Instructors and Students;
  • any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

17.2 As we rely on information provided, we cannot guarantee the qualifications and other infromation about our instructors.

17.3 Instructors are to provide correct up to date information about their profile in order not to mislead Users.

17.4 Educaid gives no warranty or assurance about the content of this Platform. It is possible some contents may be incorrect or out-of-date and are subject to changes without any notice.

 

  1. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify and hold Educaid harmless from all claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • their use or inability to use the Platform;
  • their conduct toward other Users;
  • their breach of these Terms.

 

  1. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If the parties are unable to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, including any claim sounding in contract, tort, or equity, such dispute shall be finally and exclusively resolved by binding arbitration, or by an alternative arbitration service mutually agreed upon by the parties, conducted in Singapore.

 

  1. Amendments

Educaid may amend these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
